On November 12, 2021, my beloved wife, soulmate, and confidant, Patricia Ann Gonzales passed through the Gates of Heaven. She took with her an infectious smile that we will never forget. Pat was the epitome of human kindness.
Pat was born in Bakersfield on December 10, 1952 to Eloise and Tony Yniguez. Married Ray M. Gonzales on April 15, 1973. They had two sons, Patrick and Nick Gonzales. She worked for Kern Superintendent of Schools Transportation Department bussing disabled and handicapped children until 2003. Her life was complete taking care of her family and two grandsons, Nickulas and Matthew Gonzales.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Ray and sons Patrick and Nick; four grandchildren; Nickulas, Matthew, Eric and Nicole. Mother-in-law, Anna Gonzales, brothers-in-law, Larry and Frank; and sisters Margaret Andrade and Bertha Mojica.
Preceded in death by her parents Eloise and Tony Yniguez; brother Louie; brother-in-law Ronald Gonzales; father-in-law Raymond S. Gonzales and sister JoAnn Cruz.
Visitation will be held December 9th from 4-8pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3700 River Boulevard. Mass will be held December 10th at 9am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1515 Baker Street, followed by graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Published by Bakersfield Californian on Dec. 7, 2021. Murphy Fox  We were just informed through Jenni Avila that classmate Murphy Fox has died. Jenni learned through Murphy's suster Dani that, like many others, Murphy was vaccinated against Covid but had faced health issues the past few years. In one week's time, the virus took hold and he died of Covid-related complications. Dani said "He was my one and only sibling, my big brother, my god-father and my friend. He was bigger than life and was respected and loved by all who knew him." Murphy was very active in high school working on the Kernal Newspaper and the Sierran Yearbook. Murphy died peacefully from complications of Covid 19 (vaccinated) on October 19th. He attended Hardinjg Elementary, Compton Jr. High and EBHS, graduating in 1971. He received his BA in Anthropology at CSUB. He was a college professor, business owner, musician, storyteller and writer. He was Chair of the Sociology/Antropology Department, the Environmental Studies and the Honors Scholars Program at Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he resided for over 35 years.
He is survived by wife Susan, 4 sons, 3 grandsons, his mom and sister (EB Class of '74), family, friends and students who loved him.
A memorial service was held on October 26th in Helena, Montana, where Irish whiskey flowed and his stories and music were shared! Murphy's stories were lengendary and he always said, "If they weren't true, they oughta be."

John Murphy Fox died at home peacefully on October 19, 2021 and joined his father John Arthur Fox, Aunt Eileen, Uncle Lonnie, and John Downs. He also joins his favorite animal companions Deedee, Bo, Jack and Bailey, his mule, horse and loyal hounds. His boys noted that it was his half birthday, age 68 1/2 years. Murphy was born April 19, 1953 in Bakersfield, California to Doris Burts and John Arthur Fox. His sister Dani joined him two years later. He was proud to be of Oakie heritage with family from Tennessee, Texas, and New Mexico before landing in Bakersfield. He always said that The Grapes of Wrath was his family story. Murphy’s childhood was full, spending much of his time with his grandparents, and even braving the heat to play high school football in BAKERSFIELD!
Murphy studied Anthropology at California State Bakersfield. He and Sarah Page Waddill married in 1976 and began their journey to Montana first by moving to Salt Lake City for Murphy to go to graduate school at the University of Utah. They continued their journey following the fur trade inspiration of Jedediah Smith and landed in Helena. Murphy and Sarah welcomed Jedediah Wynn and Conor Murphy into their family. After their 12-year journey ended, Murphy met and married Susan Byorth in 1990. Murphy and Susan welcomed Brendan Arthur and Brian Callahan into their family. Murphy felt immensely proud of each of his boys who grew into fine men.
Murphy was a Renaissance man. His first venture was as proprietor of Durty Murphy’s Hide and Hair in Reeder’s Alley. He modeled for western artists in his best self-made fur trade accoutrements. He was an amazing singer, song-writer, poet, & musician – no instrument left behind – he played the piano, guitar, the bodhran, the jaw harp and any other instrument in his path. He delighted in playing with the Parlor Pickers and the Irish Session musicians. He wrote for Helena Downtown, bartended at the original Bert and Ernie’s, and held court at the General Mercantile for all the Gulch Rats who are the foundation of Murphy and Susan’s Helena life.
Murphy began his career at Carroll College when Hank Burgess asked him to come and teach an English Composition Class. From that first experience as an adjunct, his talents were noted and he was asked to teach courses in Native American Studies, Memoir, Environmental Studies, and the Honor Scholars program teaching classic literature and he gained full professorship and eventually was the chair of the Sociology Department. He took many groups of students to learn in Belize and Ireland at the National University of Ireland – Galway. His Irish roots were so much a part of him and he shared it with all his friends and family – kilts were ordinary gear for the Fox family. He embodied the Mountain Man, known as an expert in the fur trade history and art, and had many great experiences at fur trade rendezvous around Montana – most notably at Fort Union and at the centennial rendezvous in Red Lodge. He created saddles, tipis, leatherwork, and sewed anything, a tribute to his Grandma.
He lived large even though the last years& Bill Henry  In Loving Memory of William Howard Henry "Speedy" 1953 - 2008 Bill was born on March 27, 1953 and passed away on November 24, 2008. Bill was preceded in death by his mother and grandmother. Bill attended East High School and graduated with the class of 1972. He had various careers over the years, the last of which was a draftsman. He loved anything to do with a computer, and all of his friends were happy to let him play on theirs, always making sure they were up to the latest technology. Bill loved to go four-wheeling, camping and other outdoor activites. He was also an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Lakers, Dodgers, and the Kings. Bill was a big man with a big heart. His friends loved him and were proud to be his friend. We will all miss you Speedy! No service will be held, but all his friends are invited to celebrate his life at Rusty's Pizza, on Wible Road, Sunday, December 12, at 12:00 noon; the last place he was employed. We love you Speedy! John Moreno  We are saddened to report that we just found notification from J. R. Rodriguez that Classmate John Moreno passed away in September 2015 in Bakersfield from a massive stroke. Our condolences to John's family, friends and loved ones. Delfina (Contreras) Carmona  Delfina (Contreras) Carmona, age 68, passed away naturally on July 23, 2020. Delfina grew up in Bakersfield, CA. She was the second eldest of 7 sisters. Delfina attended Jefferson Elementary, Washington Jr. High and East Bakersfield High School (Class of '71). She attended the Bakersfield Apostolic Church at 519 Mt. Vernon Ave. This is where she met Lorenza M. Carmona, Sr. They married in 1974 and would have celebrated their 46th anniversary this August. She worked many jobs but her most fulfilling was as a Yard Duty Aide at Harding Elementary where she loved all the kids and had a positive impact on them and kept in contact with many until they graduated High School. She loved people and enjoyed meeting and befriending everyone.
During her retirement years Delfina loved to do puzzles, cook, play games on her iPad, sew, read, carry conversations with everyone she knew, spend time with her sisters, and enjoy time with her grandchildren which she loved beyond measure. She had a kindness and beauty about her that will be forever missed.
Delfina was preceded in death by her mother Ramona, her sisters Lucy and Rachel. Delfina is survived by her husband Lorenzo Sr., their sons Isaiah and Lorenzo Jr., daughter Monamarie, granddaughters Arianna, Katheryn and Averie, as well as Delfina's sisters Esther, Anna, Virginia and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind aunts, cousins, neices, nephews and many friends.
"Mom, we love and miss you so very much" - Dad, Isaiah, Lorenzo Jr., Mona, Arianna.

Sharon J. Green 1953 - 2017 Sharon went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2017. Sharon was born in Bakersfield, CA on May 4, 1953, the first of seven children born to Willie Pearl Bagby and the daughter of Eddie Greene. Sharon accepted Christ at an early age.Sharon attended local schools, graduated from East Bakersfield High School and received her college degrees from Bakersfield College and California State University, Bakersfield. She started her employment with the Kern County Probation Department and worked there for 28 years.She married Vincent Green in 1989. Vincent was the love of her life and she blessed him with three sons, Garrett, Elliott and Jordan. Sharon and Vincent loved to travel. They visited Egypt, Rome, London and Paris. After Vincent's passing, she continued to travel with friends to places such as Washington D.C., Boston, New Orleans and Canada. Jeffrey Isadore Munoz (Pops/Papa), age 65, left us Sunday, May 6, 2018, at his home in Bakersfield, CA. He was born on June 8, 1952, in Bakersfield, CA, to Mike and Anita Munoz. Jeff was a 1971 graduate of East Bakersfield High School, where he met the love of his life of 46 years, Victoria Salcido. He was co-owner of Sinaloa’s Mexican Restaurant, where he worked for 50 years. Jeff’s talents were many; he was an avid hunter/fisherman, gun collector, R/C car collector and builder, and he also took pride in fixing any and everything.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Anita Munoz, and brother, Mike Munoz Jr. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Munoz; daughters, Christina Munoz-Garcia and husband Tony, Annie Munoz; sons, Jeff (Charlie) Munoz and wife Leah, Anthony Munoz and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Christopher and wife Precilla, Tony IV, Dylan, Gage, Isaiah, Michael, Rylee, Alexis, Mya, and one on the way; great-grandchildren, Anali, Christopher Jr.; sister, Sally and husband Joe Santa Cruz; brother, Thomas and partner Roger Upton; sister, Jeanine and husband Armando Robles; sister, Lydia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dan F. Meagher, Jr. passed away with friends and family on Sept 5, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Dan was born in Bakersfield, California on Aug 13, 1953. He was predeceased in death by his father, Dan F. Meagher, Sr. Dan is lovingly remembered by his mother, Dolores Meagher, his siblings, Dee & Ray Crisp, Dot & Mike Williams, Derrell Meagher, his children and grandchildren.
Dan was a long term member of the Bakersfield Carpenter's Union & will be remembered for his love of hunting & motorcycles.
A Celebration of Dan's life will be held at The Park at Riverwalk at 10:30 am on Sept 9, 2017.

Jess graduated from East Bakersfield HS in 1971 and worked for a number of years, at Pioneer Paint. Later, Jess completed his Pipefitter Apprenticeship with L.U 460, and worked in the trade until becoming disabled. Jess grew up in the Loma. As a youngster he would pass time walking the fields and foothills catching lizards. As he grew older, passing time became avocation. Jess was a reptile enthusiast, owning and raising many varieties of local and exotic lizards, snakes, and turtles. He loved the outdoors; from reptile hunting, fishing, and later prospecting. Jess spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Jess is survived by his son, Jess Deltoro Jr.; his mother, Carmen L. Deltoro; siblings, Rebecca Deltoro, Raquel Cervantes, Daniel Deltoro, and Paul Deltoro; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other family, and many friends. Jess was preceded in death by his father, Paul L. Deltoro.
The family would like to thank the staff of Optimal Hospice for their help during Jess' final days. A special thanks to nurse Joanne 'JoJo' Fukawa, your knowledge, compassion, and willingness to become personally involved with patient and family exemplifies the best of the nursing profession, thank you.

Chris Juarez  Chris passed away on May 17, 2016. Abel Hernandez  Class President Abel Hernandez passed away in April 2016. Abel was a great example of a leader. He always took the time to say hello and to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. He was a great husband for over 40 years to his wife Cece (Highland 1974), a great father (two sons and two daughters), grandfather and a wonderful example to others as a double lung transplant survivor. He will be sorely missed at our reunion in October and we wish peace and healing to his family and friends. The following obituary was printed in the Bakersfield Californian:
Abel Hernandez, 62, passed away in his Bakersfield home surrounded by his family on April 25, 2016. He was born in Bakersfield, California on August 23, 1953, the third of four children of the late Pedro and Petra Hernandez. He married Cecelia (Morin) Hernandez in 1975 and together they had four children.
Abel attended Jefferson Elementary, Washington Junior High, and was part of the East Bakersfield High, Class of 1971, where he played football, served as Student Body President, and was elected Bobby Blade at homecoming. He went on to graduate from Claremont Men's College and moved to Northridge. Soon after, he began his career in public service as a group counselor at Kern Youth Facility before completing his electrical apprenticeship program. He was a member of IBEW Local 428 and worked at various job sites including Edwards Air Force Base where he worked on the hangar for the Stealth Bomber. He went on to become an investigator for the Kern County Department of Human Services and Public Defender's Office and retired in 2015 after 25 years with the county.
Abel was active in the lives of his children as well as the church, coaching JBA baseball, traveling for club volleyball and soccer tournaments, and cheering on their Drillers. Abel and Cece opened their home to countless friends who they made feel like family, hosting class swim parties, homecoming floats, and birthday party shenanigans. They even have a Croatian "son" Roko, an international student who lived with them for a year. Abel served as Parent Club President of Quailwood Elementary School and was a member of the Kern High School Redistricting Committee and Fruitvale School District Board. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle and led youth confirmation classes.
In June 2006, Abel received a double-lung transplant and became an ambassador with OneLegacy/Donate Life dedicating his extra ten years to advocating for organ donation. His commitment to this work was recognized on the Donate Life float in the 2008 Rose Parade. Additionally, he and his family participated in several Bay to Breakers, an annual San Francisco race that celebrates the human spirit. Both events honored the life of his donor.
Abel enjoyed camping and fishing, soulful music and mariachis. He practiced Karate during his college years and was a ping-pong wizard. He loved his Labrador Retrievers and was a diehard Boston Celtics fan. Most importantly, he was a model of integrity, humility, generosity, faith and family values. He worked hard in all he did and achieved much, but was most proud of the family that he and Cecelia raised together. These past few years he found great joy in being Papa to his five grandchildren. A friend and inspiration to all those who knew him, Abel could never make a "quick run" to the grocery store because he would always run into someone to chat with. Abel will be sorely missed, but his infectious smile will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Hernandez, children Kirstin Hernandez & Andre Ramos, Matthew & Corina Hernandez, Nicolyn Hernandez, Seth & Sarah Hernandez, and grandchildren Lilia & Luca Hernandez, Ezekiel, Zoe and Isaiah Ramos, siblings Tina & Robert Luna, Diane & Phillip Villanueva, Gilbert & Diana Hernandez, mother-in-law Mary Morin, aunts, uncle, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Pallbearers will be godsons Dustin Gonzales, Michael Aguilar, Manny Martinez, and friends Richard Garcia, Dave Graham and Larry Smith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed for his long time care and friendship, Dr. Joseph Lynch III and the UCLA pulmonary transplant team and staff, as well as Dr. Alan Cartmell and the staff at CBCC for their guidance and support.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, May 2, 2016 with rosary recited at 6:00 PM at St. Philip's. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip's followed by interment at Greenlawn Cemetery on River Boulevard. Terry was born to Archie & Ina Weeks of Bakersfield, CA. Terry was a loving individual who will be greatly missed. After graduating High School Terry enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country. Terry was as an engineer for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 28 years. An avid thrill seeker, Terry obtained his pilot's license and loved to fly. He was a successful drag boat racer who knew how to push the limits. Terry enjoyed riding horses and became a Backcountry Horseman. He also spent many days golfing with his brother, Ronnie.
Terry is survived in death by his children and grandchildren son- Trevor & Kim, children Ryn & Taylor, son-Ryan, children Lane, Shelby & Megan, son- Brent & Cristy, children Gracee, Logan & Mason, daughter- Stacey, child Brextin, daughter-Shannon & Brandon, children Brody & Blaine. Brother & sister in law Ronnie & Judy Weeks, sister & brother in law Carol & Lowell Johnson and many cousins, nieces & nephews.

Andy passed away peacefully July 6, 2015 in San Diego surrounded by his family. He was born in Bakersfield CA on July 28, 1953. Andy is a graduate of San Jose State University and a retired Deputy Probation Officer of Santa Clara County. Andy is survived by wife Rosa, beloved son Andrew Joseph, step-daughters Raquel & Jennifer and his littlest BFF Alexaa Grace. Siblings Louie (Maggie), Fernando, Mel, Martha (Robert), Martina, Compadres Joe & Francesca, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Andy will be remembered for his big heart and his smile which touched all who were fortunate to meet him, as well as his love for Rugby.
A celebration of his life will take place August 29.
Published in San Jose Mercury News/San Mateo County Times on July 27, 2015 Judy (Bliss) Hart  Judy Bliss Hart, School Resource Aide; 61 and resident of Visalia passed away Friday January 30, 2015 after a valiant two month battle against cancer. Judy was born on October 24th 1953, in Bakersfield, CA, to Jesse and Helen Bliss. Judy attended East High and graduated from Bakersfield College. While working in the accounting department at Tosco Oil Corporation she met her future husband, Matthew Hart.
She and Matt were married on May 1, 1982 in Carmel. They moved to Visalia in 1984 and soon after started a family. Judy's first daughter, Kristin, was born in 1985 and her second daughter, Meghan, in 1991. Judy raised her family and worked many year as a real estate agent. When her girls were grown she went to work for Visalia Unified School District as a resource aid at Divisadero Middle School. Judy loved working with her 7th and 8th grade students setting them on the right track to high school and the real world. In addition to teaching, Judy enjoyed doing for others, baking cakes and brownies, gardening, spoiling her cats, spending time with friends, and visiting her daughters in Santa Barbara.
Judy is survived by her husband Matt Hart, daughters Kristin and Meghan Hart, both of Santa Barbara, her mother Helen Bliss of Bakersfield, a sister, Vicki French, of Petaluma, and her many friends and students. Dwayne Gavin  Dwayne Gavin, 61, of Bakersfield, California passed away Sunday January 25, 2015.
Born in Bakersfield, California November 14, 1953, to Ray and Evelyn Gavin. Dwayne worked for Superior Farming Company for many years, then he went on the have a 29 year career for Beckley Cardy and School Specialty. He graduated from Fresno State University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
One of Dwayne's favorite things to do was to watch his children play sports. He never missed a game or a tournament. He was always in the front row cheering them on at every sporting event. Dwayne also loved the outdoors as he enjoyed fishing and camping. On his free time, he also loved to play the drums and was very good at it.
Dwayne is survived by his parents Ray and Evelyn Gavin, his two children Erin and her husband Chad, and Keegan and his wife Kayla; his three grandchildren Kinsley, Kael, and Kruz; His brother Rick and his wife Pam, their children Conner, Caitlin, and Corbin. Doug (Martinez) Weldon  Doug attended the 40-year reunion and we all had a great visit. We just learned of his passing in March 2014. He lived in Reno and had been a chemist for many years. Susan Flores (Mesa)  Died in 2013 due to cancer. Married to Steve Flores in 1974. They have four children - Nikki, Brenna, Sean and Aaron. She loved Foster Freeze strawberry shakes with fries. Laura Ecsalera  Carmie Acosta  Carmie passed away back in the late-1980s from an auto accident in the Lake Tahoe area. She was married at the time with no children. She was a fun-loving, outgoing person who was always re-inventing herself. She was a great friend to those who knew her. Ray Arvizu  "Daddy" Ray, as many came to know him, was a warm-hearted guy with an infectious laugh. He became known as an outstanding musician and followed his dream of working in the music industry until his passing. Greg Ralls  Greg passed away 6/30/1999. He was an excellent swimmer on the Blades swim team and was known as the kind of guy you could call in a "pinch". During high school Greg could be found pumping gas at this Dad's Exxon Service Station up on Oswell. Ralph Simon  Ralph passed away in 1993 after battling cancer. He was an excellent swimmer, smart. witty and had an exceptional sense of humor - always willing to play a joke on friends. David Guillen  David passed away many years ago from a car accident. He was a very strong family man always there for his parents, children and relatives. Dward Mowery  Dward passed away in the summer of 1995. He was an exceptional and accomplished artist. He was the "quiet" one in Mr. Stidham's art class - until Mr. Stidham left the room! He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Jerry Dover  We learned from Jerry's former fiance that he passed away 5/8/1983 after suffering an internal hemorrage just 20 days before they were to be married. Jerry was a good friend who you could always count on for a kind word when things weren't going well. He was missed this year at the 40-year Reunion. Thanks to Mary Conley for this information. Dan Kelner  Dan passed away August 22, 2000 at the age of 47 while flying a homemade ultralight plane he had built himself. He lived in Brownsville, WA and was married with four children. He was an excellent tennis player and even became a "pro" teaching tennis to tennis stars of the future at the Bremerton Tennis and Athletic Club. He was an avid runner and loved working on childrens tennis programs. She is survived by her two children Shalom and Philip. She loved spending time with her kids and lived on Douglas Island, across the bay from Juneau, Alaska for a number of years. She loved choir, art classes, decorating for Proms, and hanging out with friends at Hart Park and the Tejon Theater when she was at EB. She remained friends with Denise McInerney and other Classmates over the years. Debbie Bevan  Debbie passed away a number of years ago. She was very quiet - unless she knew you as a friend. She always had a smile and was ready to laugh at some of the crazy stuff her friends did. Craig Keetch  Craig passed away a number of years ago. Jackie White  Jackie passed away a number of years ago. Brenda Fogle  Brenda passed away a number of years ago in a car accident. She was full of fun and was out to get the most of of life, She was a great friend and an understanding shoulder to many classmates over the years. Kerry Dow  Kerry passed away several years ago but we don't have any additional details about her. Benny Baca  Benny reportedly passed away 12/23/2008.. Gay Jestice  Gay passed away in June, 2010. Suzie Minter  Suzie passed away in 2010. John Wheeler  We don't have any details about John's passing. We can tell you that John didn't have a Senior picture in the yearbook - but he did have pictures from his Drama Club activities - and that's where this one came from. He was a seriously funny guy who loved acting - and was good at it starring in at least one student production! Ruben Diaz  Ruben was a physician living in Las Vegas when he passed away several years ago. Ruben specialized in pulmonary (lung) disorders and was memorialized by his local community by naming a school in his honor. He passed away on 12/2/2004. Billy Patton  We just learned that Billy had passed. No other details are known. Donna Turner  Donna (Classmate Rodney's twin). passed away in March 2003 after battling cancer. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 14th at Greenlawn Southwest Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 15, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 900 H St., for Henry Contreras Jr., who passed away February 8, 2003. Father Ralph Belluomini will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park, 2730 Panama Ln.
Henry Jr. or Boy as he was affectionately known by his family was born June 1, 1952, in Bakersfield, to Henry Sr. and Aurora Contreras. He resided in Bakersfield all of his life, attending local schools, graduating from East Bakersfield High School in 1971 where he participated in track. He was a journeyman painter, painting for almost 30 years. He was last employed by Reed Painting and Decorating for the last 17 years. Henry enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and barbecuing. These pastimes were most enjoyed with the company of his loving family and numerous friends. He was happiest napping in his lawn chair at Pismo Beach.
Henry was preceded in death by his beloved NaNa, Pauline Contreras. He is survived by his loving parents, Henry Sr. and Aurora Contreras; his wife of 30 years, Sylvia Contreras; two wonderful sons, Kenneth and Christopher Contreras; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Yvonne and Elias Salcido, Irene and Albert Arismendez, John and Guillermina Contreras, Steve and Marina Contreras, Pasty and Bobby Zamora and Suzie and Tony Guevera; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends all of Bakersfield.
Pallbearers will be Armando Montijo Sr., Armando Montijo Jr., Robert Montijo, Leonard Lomas, John Contreras, Roger Reed, Lex Harer and Armando Moreno. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Contreras, Steven Jr. Contreras and Cory Lomas.
Henry was a genuinely loving and caring man.
He lit up every room he entered. He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him. Ramirez, 52, who passed away on October 17th in Baldwin Park. Arthur was born in Torreon Coahuila, Mexico and has been a resident of Kern County all of his life. He was self-employed for 25 years as owner of Custom Paint & Body Shops. Our Father was a man of many talents, interests and hobbies. His first and foremost were cars. He especially loved customizing them. Along with remodeling and rebuilding homes, last but not least he had a Hand of Gold through very detailed and skillful drawings.
